Thrifty Thursday #17

Thanks so much for joining Jenn, from The Purposeful Mom, and me for yet another Thrifty Thursday!

We were so blessed, once again, by the great posts you linked up with us last week. Here are a few of our favorites. We have been learning so much from you all! Picking which posts to feature is a serious challenge.

[We're moving in about six weeks, and I'm filling up my Pinterest boards with projects and recipes I want try. Thanks for all your inspiration!]

Anna, from Anna & Co, turned a thrift store picture into this darling chalkboard frame. Like the chalkboard look? Here’s another super cute idea from Our Cultivated Life!

Heather, from Healthy Family Cookin’, shared several ways to keep your children happily occupied, on a budget. I love her idea of a theme for each day: “Make Something Monday”, “Wet, Wet Wednesday”, etc. Such a fun way to be structured but still leave room for creativity!

Crystal, at Serving Joyfully, shared such a beautiful post title “Poor is in the Attitude.” Such an inspiration to live cheerfully with what we have!

Do you have an herbal garden? Jasmine, from Like a Mustard Seed, shares how you can make your own herbal salves, complete with pictures for every step!

  2. We’re going to be moving in about 6 weeks as well. And we just found out last week! Craziness…any advice? We’re not so seasoned with the moving thing…especially not moving to the other end of the state. Feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything to do and the cost of everything.

Good luck with your moving preparations!

  3. Thanks for hosting, Anna. This month I’m doing a series of articles on Raising Angora Rabbits on your homestead — Angora rabbits 101. The post I’m sharing today is about feeding them without commercial pellets and instead using healthy non-GMO grains, and garden weeds to grow them up for both fiber and homestead meat or breeding stock to sell. Not only is it thrifty, but its also healthier for them. Hope your readers find it inspiring, Thanks for the opportunity to share.
